Blogging about Sex

September 2, 2015

You never really know how much you might be missed until you disappear for a bit. I grossly underestimated the reader base of my blogs. After many folks asking me to start blogging again, here I am.

I'll be honest, I never stopped writing entirely, I couldn't do that. I have always had the need to craft words into something visceral that transports the reader. We all need our daily escape to another place, and I often found release in literature.

A  good piece of writing is like good sex. You crave more of it, you can't wait to know what will happen next and the anticipation is palpable.

You don't want to rush through the excitement and foul up great sex with a great partner. That being said, you wouldn't skip past the foreplay and jump right to the grand finale. Something would feel unfulfilled and you may have an unsatisfied partner. Likewise nobody reads the first chapter of a book and then scrambles to read the ending declaring it award worthy.

Any endeavor we undertake is worth giving all of our energy to. Sex is especially important as a fundamental basic human need. People need to connect intimately with others as well as intellectually. To the dismay of many traditionalists people aren't meant to be monogamous. We crave affection, we have desires, some have unmet needs, secret desires that can't be shared with partners, and simple companionship.

I write quite a bit about sexual health, sex positive living and sexually concious. Thank you to everyone who has encouraged me to get this blog going again.
